解釋消渴
◎ 消渴 xiāo kě
- [emaciation-thirst] 中醫指以多飲、多食、多尿、消瘦為特徵的病症。 肥者令人內熱，甘者令人中滿，故其氣上溢，轉為消渴。——《素問·奇病論》

國語辭典中醫上指口渴飲水多而小便多。即今之糖尿病。《梁書．卷三三．王僧儒傳》：「吾無昔人之才而有其病，癲眩屢動，消渴頻增。」《聊齋志異．卷二．阿寶》：「生忽病消渴，卒。」也稱為「糖尿病」、「渴病」。
