[the September 18th Incident] 日本帝國主義大規模武裝侵略中國東北的事件。1931年7、8月間,日本帝國主義爲了公開侵略中國,製造了一系列挑釁事件。9月18日夜,日本駐在中國東北境內的關東軍突然襲擊沈陽東北軍駐地北大營,炮轟瀋陽城,同時在吉林、黑龍江發動進攻。19日晨,日軍佔領瀋陽,接着分兵侵佔吉林、黑龍江等省,至1932年1月,東北全境淪陷
