国语辞典剧曲或散曲中，联合同一宫调或管色相同之数曲为一首尾完整，同叶一韵的曲。因其成套而可数，故称为「套数」。也称为「套曲」、「散套」。
例行的手续、程式，老套子。《喻世明言．卷三○．明悟禅师赶五戒》：「朝廷设醮，虽然仪文好看，都是套数，那有什么高僧谈经说法，使人倾听？」《二刻拍案惊奇．卷一八》：「幸喜春花是甄家远方讨来的，没有亲戚，无人生端告执人命。却自有这伙地方人等要报知官府，投递结状，相验尸伤许多套数。」
比喻有系统的技巧或手法。
