国名。（西元1032～1227）宋代兴起于今内蒙古一部分及甘肃西北部的国家。其先世为夏州节度使，本姓拓拔，唐赐姓李，宋赐姓赵，至元昊称帝，国号夏，史称为「西夏」。后为蒙古所灭。
